| Description The latest creations of the finest automotive artists of our day are displayed annually at the Automotive Fine Arts Society (AFAS) Exhibition located right on the show field of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The automobile changed the whole of our culture almost immediately upon its introduction and it was more than transportion that served as a status symbol and a matter of style. but it took some time for the art world to embrace the automobile as an appropriate subject of fine art.
In 1983 a group of respected artists with automotive interests formed AFAS to rectify this and organized their first majoy exhibition at the 1986 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and was such a success that it quickly has become a regular event at this world-class showing of automobiles.
