Located South of Market, bacar is a dramatic and lively modern San Francisco brasserie. Mahogany, glass, steel, rich fall tones and an semi enclosed kitchen combine to create a comfortable yet elegant ambiance. Chef Robbie Lewis offers a menu abound for sharing and wine pairing, including a raw bar, pizzas from the wood burning oven and an extensive appetizer list. Daily menu updates (particularly with the pizza toppings, salads, and vegetable sides) reflect market availability. The wine list is 1,200 bottles strong, with 65 wines served by the glass.
