Description
Celebrate floral art at the de Young Museum with the 24th annual Bouquets to Art, March 11–15, 2008. Over 150 floral arrangements by prominent Bay Area designers fill the museum and welcome the spring season. The designers take their inspiration from select works of art and sculpture throughout the museum. Arrangements follow the form, color, or theme of the artwork and provide a multi-sensory experience. The elaborate displays will be in the galleries from Tuesday through Saturday, and the event features daily speakers, lectures, demonstrations, and other programs.
During the week of Bouquets to Art, admission to the museum allows full access to all floral exhibits and the special exhibition, Gilbert & George. Ticket prices are: $15 Adults, $12 Seniors, $11 Youths, and free to children under 13. For general admission only (without a lecture, lunch, or tea) you may purchase tickets at the door or in advance at www.museumtix.com. Additional fees for special programs may apply.
