Description

In "Bump and Grind," the chorus breaks new ground in its 30th anniversary season with an edgy revamp of its annual cabaret production. "We're creating the evocative speakeasy atmosphere of the 1930s," explains Artistic Director and Conductor, Dr. Kathleen McGuire, "and adding a saucy splash of lesbian-gangster-chic." The finest solo voices of the chorus are joined by the Bay Area's "Best of the Bay" burlesque troupe, the Twilight Vixen Revue, who promise a pulse-raising complement to classic songs from musicals like Porgy and Bess, Chicago, Dick Tracy, and Cabaret.
The annual show (which sold out at the ODC Theatre in 2007) moves, this year, to the sumptuous lodge at San Francisco's Regency Center on Van Ness Avenue. With three separate shows, you're sure to find a match for your busy schedule! There's a family-friendly matinee at 2pm on Saturday March 22, and the 8pm shows on March 21 and 22 are adult-rated.
