Description

David Hidalgo and Louie Perez, the principal songwriters of the legendary roots/rock band Los Lobos, will be presenting a special night of intimate acoustic music and priceless tales that will shine a light on the creative process of their songwriting.

For over thirty five years, Hidalgo and Perez have been creating songs that have made Los Lobos one of the most innovative and critically acclaimed groups in the world. Rolling Stone recently wrote: "with the exception of U2, no other band has stayed on top of its game as long as Los Lobos." Beyond Los Lobos, Hidalgo and Perez compositions have been recorded by acclaimed artists such as Waylon Jennings and Bonnie Raitt, and have been widely used in films by acclaimed filmmakers including Wim Wenders, Robert Rodriguez and Robert Altman.

In this very special performances, Hidalgo and Perez offer a departure from the larger scale Los Lobos shows and aim focus on the songs and the process of their creation. After experiencing a set of their most memorable tunes, Hidalgo and Perez will return to the stage, for what will prove to be an entertaining and thought provoking discussion with the audience.
