Carmel Valley — The Carmel Valley Garden Club presents its 46th Annual Garden Show, Under the Valley Sun. The free show will be from 10 am to 4 pm, May 2 and 3, 2015 at Hidden Valley Music Seminars, 104 W. Carmel Valley Road, at Ford Road, Carmel Valley. More information call 831 659-0436.

This eagerly anticipated event offers draws people from all over the county. Gardeners and flower arrangers alike vie for professionally judged flower arrangement, container gardens and cut flower prizes. “It’s a great opportunity to see what grows well here, be inspired and get professional gardening advice, “ according to CVGC president Betsy Shea. Features:
• Popular judged flower show with cut flowers, floral arrangements and container plants.
• Family oriented. Children’s garden, craft activities and with music by Kiki Wow.
• The hand-picked vendors at our marketplace present plants, products and advice suitable for gardening in a drought..
• BBQ cooked by CV Kiwanis, Wine and Beer Bar, cookies and lemonade at the Children’s Garden Snack Bar.
• New this year: Potted Paradise Competition, 2:00 pm, Saturday. Steve McShane will conduct the container garden competition for 15people, $15 entry fee. All supplies (pot, soil and a selection of plants) will be provided. Prize for winner.
• Amazing silent auction includes vintage garden items, paintings, restaurant certificates, wine and more.
• Attendees may bid on whimsical painted flowers specially created by prominent local artists for your garden.
• Saturday evening Garden Gala from 6 to 8:30 pm. Food, wine and entertainment provided by Hidden Valley Music Seminars. Advanced tickets $20, at the door $25. Call 659-3115 for reservations.

Proceeds from the Silent Auction allowed CVGC to donate close to $50,000 over the last eight years to Friends of Carmel Valley Library, CV Civic Improvement Committee, Hidden Valley Music Seminars, Carmel Valley Community Youth Center and Carmel Valley Historic Society.
Carmel Valley Garden Club is committed to maintaining, improving, and beautifying the Carmel Valley area.
