| Description PacRep Theatre’s SoDAonSTAGE presents a revival of If Wishes Were Horses, the original family musical with book and lyrics by Walt deFaria and music by Stephen Tosh, returning to Carmel’s Golden Bough Theatre as part of PacRep’s 2008 Season. This joyous musical flirts with the mysteries of life when a young girl is given three special wishes. How she uses them, and their effect on her life and the lives of those around her, make up the heart of this musical comedy. The 75 stars-of-tomorrow-filled show begins with a preview on Thursday April 17 with 7:30 pm evening performances continuing on April 18, 19 and 24, 25, and 26 with 2:00 pm matinees on April 20, 26 and 27.
Local pros Gracie Poletti and Virginia Bell head the cast along with featured favorites Connie Lee, Steve Woods, Suzanne Minerva, Heidi McKay and David Ehrenpreis in this remake. Directed by deFaria, musical direction is by Stephen Tosh, with choreography by Gloria Elber and Reed Scott and costumes by Debbie Weiss and Tammy Hunziker. Set design is by John Brady. A Benefit Gala will be held on Saturday evening April 19 at 5:30 pm, in the lobby of the Golden Bough Theatre prior to the evening’s performance. Gala tickets are $40 for adults, and $20 children under 12, and include refreshments and preferred seating. Regular tickets are available for that same evening. |
