| About John N Quick, DVM Dr Quick graduated from Purdue University in 1981. He came directly to Morgan Hill and took over the Animal Medical Clinic, At the time it was owned by Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital, the premier Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Northern California. Working with these specialists put Dr Quick on a high path early in his career, where he has stayed since. He took ownership of the Animal Medical Clinic in 1983 and created the Animal Care Center in 1998. For over 18 years Dr Quick was a member of the California Academy of Veterinary Medicine, a continuing education honor society, for which less than 3% of California veterinarians qualified, at a time when CE was not required for veterinarians. When first here Dr. Quick was a member and President of the Board of Western Homes for Youth. He is also a founder and Board President of the Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center of Morgan Hill and was the only veterinarian volunteering for wildlife rehabiltation in S. County for over 20 years. Dr Quick was also a founder and Board Presdent of Furry Friends Foundation (FFF). FFF still has over 450 volunteers going to over 45 sites, sharing their pets with those in hospitals and long term care facilities in a pet facilitated therapy model. Dr Quick was voted the Best Veterinarian in S, Santa Clara County repeatedly by the 50,000 readers of Pinnacle Newspapers. He was also voted the Best Veterinarian in Silicon Valley in 2007 by the readers of Silicon Valley Pet Tails. Additionally the Animal Care Center was tied for Best Veterinary Hospital in Silicon Valley and his lead groomer, Jessica Calderon, was voted runner up Best Groomer in Silicon Valley. His community spirited volunteerism led to him becoming the Morgan Hill Male Citizen of the Year for 2003. In addition to the service mentioned above Dr Quick is a 25 year member of Morgan Hill Rotary Club and has volunteered extensively at Live Oak High School. He lives in Morgan Hill with his family and many pets. Dr Quick is currently on the Board of the Community Law Enforcement Foundation which has funded the reintroduction of Morgan Hill's new police dog, Pax, He is volunteering to provide all necessary health care and food for Pax to make this affordable for the community.
