| Description Angèle Dubeau and her ensemble La Pietà are well-known for their breathtaking virtuosity, impeccable precision, energy, style and their contagious joy of playing. Sold-out performances and rave reviews sum up La Pietà's unequivocal success of the past eleven years.
"Music does not have to be the privilege of an elite, it is a public good! " said Télémann. Angèle Dubeau shares this conviction which influences profoundly her approach of the music and the public. It is by investing in the excellence of its musicians that La Pietà wishes to reach the widest possible public. The ensemble's passion for music and its mission to share the pleasure with the biggest number are completely translated by its concern to reach any public, to develop new markets, to perform as much in places dedicated to classical music as in rooms in region that have never or rarely presented concerts, in festivals and charitable organizations. The musicians undertake with spirit, virtuosity and precision a repertoire consisting of works from the classical directory but also open in variety by including well-known jazz composers (Dave Brubeck, Astor Piazzolla), knocks of hearts (Philip Glass, Ennio Morricone, Joe Hisaishi) as well as works made specially for the ensemble.
