| Description The Annual Pebble Beach Tour d'Elegance is presented by Rolex and is a driving event that is sure to please all who participate or view. Initiated to showcase the elegance of the automobile in action, the Tour dates back to the early history of Pebble Bach and before the golf courses it is now known for along the Pacific Ocean. This area is reknown for its scenic drives, winding rouads and pine and cypress forest with dramatic cliffs and a beautiful cresant shaped bay on both sides of the Monterey Peninsula - Carmel and Monterey Bay.
The tour traces portions of the original 17-mile Drive and traverses nearby mountains and valley, dripping down the famed Highway One and into Carmel-by-the-Sea for a catered gourmet lunch and exhibition and return to Pebble for a champagne celebration and finish. The tour is open to all entrants in the Concours and spectators are invited to view the Tour at key points along the route. |
