| About Rasa Vitalia, Ethnic Dance Artist RASA is a Bay Area-based professional belly dancer with over 10 years of experience in dance forms, mastering many aspects of both traditional and tribal fusion styles with equal parts talent and skill. Her mastery of sword balance, percussive cymbal rhythms, and dynamic movement has won her many admirers. She has performed as a solo artist to audiences in cities throughout the U.S., contributed her talents to several area troupes, and worked with an array of world-class, international musicians. Originally trained as a Brazilian samba dancer, this early experience has informed her unique and vibrant approach to bellydance. Rasa regularly performs in festivals and showcases in various cities and is in high demand for the charm she brings to small celebrations. In addition, Rasa is an instructor of bellydance basics and teaches workshops and classes in dance studios within the San Francisco Bay Area as well as throughout the U.S.. She cites various artists such as Jamila Salimpour, Suhalia Salimpour, Philipe, Malia, and Dhyanis as generous instructors who have helped her polish her many skills over the years. She is is certified under the Jamila & Suhalia Salimpour School of Belly Dance, as well as in CPR Rasa’s approach to bellydance is in essence improvisational, fluid, and expressive. Her intention is to give timeless form to the subtle truths of the heart.
