Description
Amy Seiwert – World Premiere:
Protege Program choreographer and Company member, Amy Seiwert, creates a new work for Smuin Ballet. Amy has created six ballets for Smuin Ballet and Michael considered her to be an extremely gifted choreographer. She was recently named one of "25 to watch" by Dance Magazine. Last year Amy was invited to the New York Choreographic Institute at the New York City Ballet, and she premiered new works with Robert Moses Kin, here in San Francisco, and Ballet Nouveau in Colorado.

Stabat Mater
Michael created Stabat Mater to Dvorak’ss music of the same title, in response to the tragedies surrounding 9/11. The San Francisco Chronicle proclaimed "It . . .is one of the most beautiful ballets in this choreographer’s remarkable career." It’s only fitting we perform this in memory of Michael.

Reinin’ in the Hurricane
WEST COAST PREMIERE
Guest choreographer Kirk Peterson (The Eyes That Gently Touch) returns with this whimsical "Smuin-esque" ballet set to the music of country western’ss greatest – Johnny Cash, Gene Autry, k.d. lang and more.
