Description

From tap-dancing Christmas trees and swinging sock-hoppers to Santa Baby with a feather boa, the 2009 edition includes favorites plus some new surprises. The San Francisco Chronicle calls this inventive combination of ballet, tap, swing, jazz and pop “exhilarating … stunning and gorgeous, with plenty of sexy charm.”

The opening or “Classical” act features traditional ballet set to a selection of chamber works in the holiday spirit, as well as traditional carols and Russian Hanukah klezmer. In Act II, “The Cool Christmas” emerges as dancers get down to business with the music of Eartha Kitt, Harry Connick Jr., Diana Krawl and others.
