| Description Celebrated baritone Zachary Gordin is joined by pianist Larry Marietta and four rising stars of opera for an afternoon gala concert, featuring the best-loved arias and ensembles in the operatic repertoire. Soprano Gail Simpson reprises her riveting portrayal of Lucia di Lammermoor after rave reviews in the inaugural performance of Opera Frontier. Mezzo-soprano Dalyte Kodzis will seduce you with her lush voice, powerful acting and sultry rendition of Carmen. Countertenor Jose Luis Muñoz, just returned from a sold-out debut recital in Mexico City, sings arias from Handel to Britten. Tenor Michael Foreman, a winner of the 2008 Long Beach Mozart Festival, will thrill you with some of the most famous arias for tenor. This stellar cast will also present duets, trios, ensembles and scenes from Lakmé, Giulio Cesare, Pearl Fishers, Rigoletto, Cosi fan Tutte, and more. |
