Artist Statement: Zefrey Throwell is an artist living and working in downtown San Francisco. Among other activities he enjoys setting things on fire and videotaping them, long walks in Golden Gate park at night in a ski masks, panting with his own blood and talking about art with friends and family (although he fiends family less responsive). He is a member of 2 collectives, red76 and thin ice collective. He loves them both equally and won’t be pressured into picking a favorite. Zefrey works with Gallery 138 in New York and is a regular contributing member to WPS1 (PS1/MoMA radio station). |
