The flexible space at this Monterey County church offers the ultimate in creative control for the bride and groom, allowing the couple to make the wedding anything they want, from a formal, elegant affair to a relaxed, personal event. Pacific Coast Church’s reception room accommodates up to 80 guests for a sit-down affair or 160 for a standing reception, and it boasts room for dancing as well as a staging area for caterers and event staff. The church is happy to supply a list of wedding vendor references to assist in planning the event, and many local Pacific Grove caterers already have a working relationship with Pacific Coast Church. With numerous award-winning Pacific Grove bed and breakfasts, hotels and restaurants, the options for guest accommodations, rehearsal dinners and entertainment in the area are as numerous as they are diverse. A short drive from Carmel, Monterey and a variety of Monterey County attractions, Pacific Coast Church brings the best of the Monterey Peninsula to any wedding.

Perfect for ‘Green’ Summer Weddings

Pacific Coast Church introduces their new garden to serve as the perfect wedding backdrop. Embracing an environmentally sensitive approach, they incorporate indigenous and drought resistant plants in their garden, as well as a fountain bubbling with recycled water to create a beautiful “green wedding” setting. Each row of flowers and greenery was selected to complement a wedding ceremony and to bloom in sync with spring celebrations.

The garden was designed by George DePeso, a talented landscape designer/contractor and congregation member who donated much time and talent to creating this beautiful outdoor space for outdoor weddings and other events, and simply to be enjoyed for personal contemplation. The area can accommodate about 25 seated or standing. The deck overlooking can accommodate and additional 35 guest observing the ceremony and makes for a lovely place for cocktails afterward.

If weather should turn inclement, the church’s naturally lit sanctuary, which offers beautiful garden views, can be used.
