Carmel Centennial Celebration Dance Presentation -- Twyla Tharp Dance Company 50th Anniversary Tour

A celebration of this year's Carmel-by-the-Sea Centennial, Twyla Tharp celebrates her 50th anniversary in dance with an international tour and two world premiere works. Twyla's style is eclectic and lively, mixing ballet, modern dance, and her own creative inventions. Come early to view the two exhibits, the "Carmel Centennial Exhibit of Historic Photographs" presented by the Carmel Centennial Committee, on display in the Marjorie Evans Gallery and the "Then/Now: Carmel Heritage Celebrates the Mayors of Carmel" exhibit presented by the Carmel Heritage Society, on display in the North Gallery. A joint reception will be held in the Chapman Room and upper terrace from 5-7PM. Refreshments will be served including complimentary sparking wine and chocolates at the performance.
