Carmel Film Festival's Women In Film

In addition to its primary goal of encouraging and inspiring women working in the creative arts, the CIFF Women in Film Program is also one of the primary fundraisers for the Carmel International Film Festival’s scholarship and Awards program. CIFF awards several $2,500 scholarships every year to young film and art students.

The program is truly a celebration of women in the creative arts industries, with a special focus on nurturing the young women who will lead the industry in the future. One seat at every table is reserved for an artistic young woman because we believe all young women deserve a “seat at the table.”

This year we are celebrating California’s abundance! Join us for a savory lunch at La Playa Hotel – transformed into a California marketplace, and featuring food and wine cultivated and grown in the fertile soil of the Golden State. One of our spotlight films “Fear No Fruit” tells the story of three generations of women succeeding in the tough business of California agriculture.
