Paradise Catering Partners With Twisted Roots Tasting Room Throw a Tail Wagging Fundraiser

Co-owners Jon Kasky and Nancy Rohan of Paradise Catering are partnering with Twisted Roots Tasting Room in Carmel Valley to throw a fundraiser for Animal Friends Rescue Project.

Centered in the heart of the Lodi Appellation, Twisted Roots Vineyard is the work of three generations of family members dedicated to the practice of growing great wine grapes by following sustainable growing practices. While our vineyard was established in 1918, it wasn't until recently that we began producing our own wines. The Twisted Roots Vineyard label started with a Petite Sirah in 2005 by Ross, after experimenting in the basement of the original farmhouse. In 2009, we began commercial production and expanded our offerings to include other varietals grown on the estate. Winemaking was moved subsequently from the old farmhouse to our partners at Estate Crush. Petite Sirah continues to be our flagship wine; we also offer Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Old Vine Zinfandel.

· Support! AFRP is dedicated to finding good, permanent homes for stray, abandoned, injured and abused cats and dog from our local shelters. AFRP relies on support from the community to rescue and adopt out over 1,500 homeless cats and dogs each year. Since 1998, they have placed over 18,000 cats and dogs into loving new homes. AFRP also operates the Lifelink Transport program which has transported over 7,000 dogs to safety with other rescues throughout California since 2007. AFRP is the safety net for the animals most at risk in our local shelters.

· Cost: $25 per person and includes small bites and wine tasting. Additional glasses of wine can be purchased at $7.00 per glass.
