Carmel, CA, known as Carmel-by-the-Sea is one of the world's most beautiful beachside & windswept romantic getaways. The Sunset Center caters to performances by classical touring theatrical performers, comics, music performers and one man shows, while Carmel's smaller stages produce fine dramatic theater. Monterey Peninsula College has a yearly calendar of events. The Golden Bough, a historic playhouse offers musicals and has a Circle Theater with more intimate plays. The Carl Cherry Theater features local talents for their plays and has an art gallery housed inside the historic home location in town. Carmel Valley has just revived their own Magic Circle Theater just 12 miles from the beach.
