About Breast Health

This presentation is for all who would like to prevent breast cancer or prevent a recurrence of breast cancer. Dr. Helayne Waldman, a holistic nutrition practitioner and co-author of The Whole Food Guide for Breast Cancer Survivors, will take participants through the myths and facts about healthy eating, with an emphasis on food and nutrients which contribute to breast health with their anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory activity.

Waldman takes a customized approach to reviewing risk factors for breast cancer that include blood sugar and insulin levels, inflammation, nutrient sufficiency, toxic exposures, immune strength and hormonal balance. Based on an individual analysis of each client’s strength and weaknesses, she develops a customized program based on nutrient-dense eating, cancer-protective foods and targeted supplementation. This talk will detail the elements of this approach.

The Whole Food Guide for Breast Cancer Survivors will be available for purchase after the lecture.
