JD & The Straight Shot

Friday, March 6 James Dolan & the Straight Shot is teaming up with KRML and Scheid Vineyards for a free concert at Cooper’s Pub & Restaurant to benefit the Monterey Jazz Festival's Jazz Education Program. Locals Red Beans & Rice will open the show.

JD & The Straight Shot is a New York-based blues-infused rock 'n' roll band led by Jim Dolan. Singer-guitarist Dolan formed the band in 2000 and they have since toured nationwide opening for The Eagles and other major acts. The band has also contributed songs to major motion picture soundtracks for Bill Murray's "St. Vincent" and Meryl Streep's "August: Osage County." And the group's "Can't Make Tears" is the theme song for AMC's "Hell on Wheels." The band released its fifth album, the Joe Walsh-produced Where I've Been, last year.
