As a brief introduction, Dr. Matock grew up in the Salinas/Monterey area and graduated from Palma High School. He attended Fresno State, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise Science and Rehabilitation. He then attended Palmer West where he received his Doctorate, graduating magna cum laude. In addition, his preceptorship program included working at both a medical Center and an Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine clinic where he worked rehabilitating patients. Recently, he opened M.I.R.C., a sports injury based chiropractic clinic. Dr. Matock specializes in the treatment and management of a vast array of neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
Most people know chiropractors as practitioners to whom you go for back problems. Dr. Matock does more. He promotes an evidence-based approach to patient care while utilizing progressive manual techniques. His education and clinical background allow him the ability to treat a multitude of musculoskeletal ailments including but not limited to: back, neck, hand, leg, and foot pain, sprains and strains. He has also worked as a member of the medical staff of numerous sporting events including, the Sea Otter Classic, Santa Cruz Beach Volleyball Event, the Cal Bearathon Triathlon, and the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon.
